Guardians do still have some effect the development of adult traits and this will probably be useful for min-maxing. When the child becomes a teenager you can send them off to a guardian for adult education, similar to the way it worked before. There is still a large random element in this, but you've very likely to get at least one of the child traits from your focus. Most focuses increase the likelihood of gaining specific child traits.
You can now choose a focus for your children before they're old enough to begin their formal education. As teenagers these traits will slowly be replaced with the adult traits we're familiar with. Also note that there are could be events tied to the childhood focus that we don't know about yet that could impact the analysis.Īs of Conclave, children now gain childhood traits.
